TCP 150 HPE, High Precision Electric
Our key product line is the TCP 150 with different tool sets for various aspect ratios. It is fully scalable system that is cost efficient and flexible and is today in use at leading light guide film manufacturers in Taiwan and China.
• Max quality area: 370 x 235 mm 5”-17”, screens with various aspect ratios and multi-cavity.
• Pattern: advanced double-sided patterns with alignment, optional taper/wedge
• Thickness: down to 0.10 mm
• Cycle time: down to 30 seconds depending on application
• Substrate: any thermal polymer, but most common are PC or PMMA.
The technology is based on a unique induction heating process, where only the stamper is heated. The heating/ cooling uniformity and speed are superior to any other comparative technology.
The press and tool solution include several innovations that deliver full pressure uniformity which is another key factor to achieve full replication.
RtS 150, Roll-To-Sheet
Automatic input and output of plastic film to TCP 150. A roll of film substrate, with or without protective film, is placed in the system. Any protective film is automatically dislodged on both sides and the substrate film is deionized and vacuum cleaned. The film of width up to 450 mm is adapted for a 370 mm wide quality area. The cycle time depends on the TCP 150 process time. Roll-To-Sheet can handle a film thickness down to 0.10 mm or less depending on the pattern and material. After the patterning process, protective film is applied to the patterned plastic film. Thereafter, the film is processed in the RTS to the appropriate size before the next stage in production.
TCP 1000 HP
TCP 1000 HP, High Performance
TCP 1000 HP has unlimited pattern possibilities. V-cut, micro-lenses, Fresnell lenses – they are all easy to produce in TCP 1000 HP. And always with 100 percent replication and down to 0.15 mm or less in thickness. Double-sided pattern at the same time as one-sided, both with the same high quality. This is the system with future-secured capability. Whatever pattern you have in mind, the TCP 1000 HP will handle it. In combination with TCP EE Edge Embossing, the LGP will be a high-efficiency product, from all perspectives.
Max quality area: 900 x 500 mm, corresponding to one 42” LGP
Cycle time: down to 25 seconds depending on thickness, pattern, plastic material and matrix
Thickness: 0.15 mm or thinner, depending on pattern and material
Pattern: Advanced patterns on both sides, with optional wedge
With 100% replication achievable the precision and quality of the stamper becomes crucial.
There are many ways to manufacture masters and stampers and TC TECH has chosen the following way to classify the different types that we usually come across:
A master is the “mother” stamper with structures that can be used for replication of components or for making working stampers that are then used for production of components. Masters contain micro- and nanostructures that when transferred to a final product, will give a specific functionality with a desired performance.
Stampers are normally provided by manufacturers of the various applications. TC TECH can act as an advisor to convey the specific requirements that are needed for a superior results.
