Meet The Team | Jessika Boström| Mechanical Designer

I am a mechanical design engineer at TC Tech and working on improvements on the TCP system to meet evolving market needs. That includes CAD modelling, analysis, technical documentation, prototyping and more. We are doing extensive testing on our machine which I am involved in, to find our focus areas in the development team and continuously test our improvements. I am also working on assembly instructions and manuals for the TCP system which is an important step when TC Tech starts with volume production.

Developing a production system ready for volume manufacturing of optical films has several challenges, I think one of the biggest ones is achieving consistent quality. Customers in the optical film industry have high demands on their product, they need to have precise control over thickness, surface smoothness, pattern replication, coverfilm, etc. for every produced substrate. And this must be uniform and repetitive over large production batches. To achieve this we need to work closely with our customers and understand their process and challenges, while focusing on constantly developing the TCP system.
