I am the CEO but also act as our Global Sales & Marketing director. Since we are in a growth phase it’s very stimulating to be able to contribute to the enhanced business potential.

Avalon has been a needed injection for TC TECH. With their engineering expertise and manpower we have been able to speed up the development of our product. Having this synergy with Avalon has definitely enhanced our product development.

First of all we benefit very much from having access to engineers with a wide spread of expertise and knowledge. Since we can utilize this on a “need to need” basis we have access to specific competence when needed, without having to employ those costs on a full scale. It has also benefitted us well that we can share overhead in both financials and HR.

TC TECH has a very smart and sophisticated technology that provides a manufacturing method for high end plastic films. For this to be useful there has to be applications that are interesting for the market and then it gives the customer/market the opportunity to design the products of the future. We see the highest potential in optical films (for mini-LED, front light, LCD etc), which are a component in almost all displays in the world!

As we know displays/screens are everywhere nowadays and by using our technology when designing and manufacturing these films they can make these displays more efficient, i.e. lower power consumption, less losses of light, thinner products etc. There are also other applications that will be of interest (eg. Microfluidics where already have equipment on the market) and more could follow, but the immediate interest and growth lies within these optical films for displays/screens.
